1. - movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, concept to another

2. - the act of passing from one state or place to the next

3. - an event that results in a transformation



The word transition comes from the Latin word transpire which means to “go or cross over.” As you consider your transition, it is a season of movement. You are crossing from one place to another. In your transition season, don’t resist the process. You are undergoing change: maybe change physically, mentally or emotionally. As you go through this process, you will survive, and most likely, you will be a better person for it.

Bridges are an amazing creation. Since the creation of man, we’ve been building bridges to get us from one side to another. From simple rope bridges to the engineering feats like the Golden Gate Bridge, these structures help us move from one place to another.
In a similar manner, we use less obvious bridges in life, we call them transitions. Let me explain:

1. Your attitude and your outlook will determine how you move through the transition
2. Transition is a process…you cannot short circuit, side step or take short cuts
